Ann Patricia Grady, MA, OTR, FAOTA (1935–2012), co-authored the theory of sensorimotor-sensory development and the book Children Adapt with Elnora Gilfoyle (along with Mentoring Leaders). Grady was active clinically, serving as OT/PT Director at the Children’s Hospital of Colorado, and taught as an adjunct faculty member at Colorado State University. Her service to the profession included terms as AOTA President (1989–1992), AOTF Vice-President, and AOTF Board Member. Later in her career, she was active as a consultant on leadership and organizational change. She was the recipient of the Eleanor Clark Slagle Lectureship in 1994, the Award of Merit, and the AOTF Meritorious Service Award. Read Grady’s Slagle Lecture.
